In her weekly newsletter, Mone Mag, Mercedes Mone took credit for Vaquers WWE signing, reflecting on their experience together at Forbidden Door.
Mone shared that Vaquer arrived only an hour before the event, leaving them little time to plan their match. Despite the language barrierMone speaking English and Vaquer Spanishand both being jet-lagged and hungry, they managed to deliver a great match. Mone felt this match played a part in Vaquer being signed by WWE just a few days later.
Stephanie Vaquer responded to Mercedes Mones comments on her Instagram story, sharing her side of the story about their match at AEW Forbidden Door. She explained that before the match, she had endured several days of constant travel, spending most of her time sleeping on planes, along with weeks of non-stop work. Vaquer also mentioned that she had gone many hours without eating.
Despite the challenging conditions, she expressed her appreciation for facing a talented opponent like Mone and acknowledged the positive experience. Vaquer concluded by emphasizing that consistent hard work eventually leads to rewards.
Stephanie Vaquer made her debut on the October 8 episode of WWE NXT, where she teamed up with Giulia to take on Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade. Vaquer has expressed a high regard for Mercedes Mone, and fans are pleased to see the mutual respect between the two wrestlers.
