JD From NY questioned the official statement, claiming that Jacobs, who had been described as Tony Khans right-hand man, was burnt out. JD speculated that the situation was far more complex, even alleging that Jacobs was fired and used as a scapegoat for AEWs perceived need to improve its television product. JDs harsh critique of Tony Khans leadership and AEWs creative direction had a sharp tone, likening Khans control of the company to that of a McMahon-like figure.
