Chris Jericho is definitely a veteran in the pro wrestling industry, whose career hasspanned more than 30 years andhe truly loves AEW no matter what. With that said, many people feel Jericho is selfish and he has now defended himself against accusations of being selfish.
Le Champion has faced off against numerous foes over the course of his run in AEW. Jericho has never failed to put over talent such as MJF, Orange Cassidy, Action Andretti and more. He has lost to all of the above talent and more, as Jericho wants to build up talent for the future.
Chris Jericho recently celebrated 24 years in professional wrestling and talked about his experiences on the AEW Unrestricted podcast. He discussed working with younger wrestlers like Big Bill and Bryan Keith, as well as the criticism he gets for doing it.
Jericho believes its important to showcase younger talent so fans can get to know them. He mentioned that he has helped wrestlers like Danny Garcia, Sammy Guevara, MJF, and Orange Cassidy by working with them. This way, fans can understand who these wrestlers are.
Now at 53 years old and with 34 years of experience, Jericho knows he has a key role in helping new stars in AEW. He said that while his name and history make him stand out, his main goal is to support younger wrestlers as they grow and build their confidence. He explained that confidence is very important in wrestling because it helps performers succeed and handle different situations well.
Even Jake Hager claimed that Chris Jericho has put many talent over in AEW, unlike Sting. Regardless, Jericho will continue to do what he wants to do in AEW and thats unlikely to change anytime soon.
