The young Italian is in fact the first tennis player not to concede break points to Novak Djokovic in two consecutive matches. Statistics that also testify to the enormous improvement of the Italian in serving, which until recently was probably his main problem.

Sinner redeemed himself immediately after the defeat in the final in Beijing, beating an excellent version of the Serbian champion with the result of 7-6 6-3. "Today was a very special day, for several reasons. Having Roger in the stands, Carlos and Juan Carlos, and the atmosphere that was created was very, very nice. Playing against Novak, in a final is always very, very difficult, so I am happy with how I handled this type of situation. The last period was not easy but I tried to enjoy myself as best as possible on the court.
And, of course, success is something great. So, I just try to stay very calm and not worry if I miss some shots or if I am unlucky sometimes, I just try to keep pushing with the best energy possible. I try to control what I can control, and that is definitely the mind, and also the physical aspect that you can control," said Jannik in the post-match interview.
