World no. 22 Sebastian Korda underwent surgery on his right elbow a couple of days ago. Two months ago, the 24-year-old cracked the top-15 following the ATP 500 Washington title and a Masters 1000 semi-final in Montreal. However, he suffered an early loss in Cincinnati and struggled against Tomas Machac at the US Open, requiring a medical timeout on his right arm and undergoing surgery a few weeks later.

Sebastian embraced a procedure as the best option, hoping to return injury-free and chase more notable results in 2025. Korda is 31-19 this season, earning a couple of good results and extending his top-30 run. He reached the semi-final in Adelaide at the beginning of the season and fell to Andrey Rublev in the third round in Melbourne.
Sebastian retired against Andrey in Rotterdam and suffered early losses in Indian Wells, Miami, Monte Carlo, Bucharest, Madrid, Rome and Paris, often against the rivals from the top.
