In a bold move thats sure to stir the wrestling world, AEW took advantage of its new deal with Fox Sports Mexico by airing multiple advertisements during WWE Raw broadcasts. Although WWE is still under contract with the network until the end of the year, Fox Sports Mexico has already begun pushing AEW content, and its causing quite a stir.

During the October 14 episode of WWE Raw, AEW commercials were aired during most of the shows breaks, promoting AEWs recent deal with the network. As if that wasnt enough, once Raw wrapped up, Fox Sports Mexico immediately transitioned into an AEW news show, using WWE Raw as a lead-in for AEW content. The ads and promotion came as part of AEWs new multi-regional broadcast deal with the network, which began airing AEW programming this past Saturday.

This aggressive promotion strategy likely hasnt gone unnoticed by WWE, as it now shares airtime with its biggest competitor on the same channel. With WWEs move to Netflix coming in 2025, Fox Sports Mexico appears eager to fill the gap by heavily promoting AEW during the time WWE still occupies on their network.

From a broadcasting perspective, this creates an unusual situation where WWE fans tuning in for Raw are met with AEW ads during commercial breaks and immediately after the show. Although WWE still holds a presence on the network for now, this push for AEW is a clear indication that Fox Sports Mexico is setting the stage for the transition. For WWE, it may not be ideal to have their rival company directly advertised during their flagship program.
