This has surprised some fans, considering both UFC and WWE are now part of TKO Group Holdings. However, it appears there is a belief that the two audiences dont overlap as much as expected, which likely explains why theres no concern about both events happening on the same night.
On WrestleVotes Radios Backstage Pass, hosts JoeyVotes and TC addressed rumors about WWE starting the Royal Rumble earlier to avoid a conflict with the UFC show, which is what happened for the Bad Blood Premium Live Event. They confirmed that the Royal Rumble will begin at its scheduled time of 7 p.m. EST.
