TNA Wrestling aimed to honor former star Monty Brown by inducting him into the TNA Hall of Fame at this years Bound For Glory pay-per-view, but it seems their efforts were met with an unexpected challenge.

On the latest episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Matt Hardy revealed that Brown was strongly considered for the prestigious honorhowever, the promotion had difficulty contacting him.

The announcement for this years Hall of Fame inductees, made during the October 17 episode of TNA iMPACT, confirmed that wrestling veteran Rhino and late TNA executive Bob Ryder will be honored at Bound For Glory 2024. While Brown, a fan-favorite known for his powerhouse style and iconic Pounce finisher, was ultimately not included in this years Hall of Fame class, Hardys comments indicate that his name remains in the conversation for future inductions.

With Bound For Glory set to take place in Detroit, where Brown made a name for himself, his induction this year would have felt like a fitting tribute. However, TNAs inability to reach him suggests that Brown, who has largely stayed out of the public eye in recent years, may not be ready to re-enter the spotlight just yet.
