The University of Texas at Austin women's tennis team is celebrating, after freshman Ariana Anazagasty-Pursoo won the ITARegional Championships in Fort Worth on Tuesday.

Not only that, but the Longhorns also swept the top three spots in the tournament with freshman Ashton Bowers finishing second and junior Vivian Ovrootsky finishing third.

Anazagasty-Pursoo won her first college title by defeating Bowers 6-4, 6-4, while Ovrootsky defeated the AggiesrivalDaria Smetannikov by a final score of 6-2, 6-4.

It was a very remarkablemilestone also for coach Howard Joffe, who has ensured that the tournament will have a finalist or winner of a singles match for the 14th consecutive year, 1o with the Longhorns, 4 with the Aggies.

It was the second straight year the Longhorns had both a champion and a runner-up in the tournament after Malaika Rapolu won and Charlotte Chavatipon reached the final last year.
