Frenchman Julien Guerrier won the Estrella Damm N.A. Andaluca Masters with 267 (62 72 63 70, -21) shots, on the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande course (par 72), in San Roque in Spain. He finished the competition tied with Spaniard Jorge Campillo (267 64 65 68 70) and then won his first title on the DP World Tour with a par on the ninth playoff hole, a record equaled on the circuit for extra holes played in an event.

With a strong final comeback, Matteo Manassero finished in good standings, from 40th to 17th with 277 (72 69 70 66, -11), and Francesco Laporta, from 36th to 20th with 278 (69 69 72 68, -10).

Behind the two protagonists is the English Daniel Brown, third with 269 (-19), in fourth place with 270 (-18) the other English Jordan Smith and the Danish Rasmus Hojgaard and only in sixth with 271 (-17) the Spaniard Jon Rahm, star of LIV Golf, who was the most popular in the predictions of the eve.

Campillo, 38 years old from Caceres, three successes in his career, was in the lead after the 13th hole where Guerrier found a double bogey (70, -2, adding five birdies and a previous bogey), but the Iberian was unable to maintain it. With a birdie and two bogeys, the last one at 18, he favored the play-off. Julien Guerrier, 39, from Evreux, who so far has won two on the Challenge Tour and as many on the Alps Tour and the French Tour, then won the match with his ninth consecutive par in the extra holes, against his opponent's final bogey. The Frenchman took home a check for $552,500 on a prize pool of $3,250,000.

Manassero shot a 66 (-6), with an eagle, five birdies and a bogey, and rose from eighth to sixth place in the Race to Dubai (order of merit). He is now ever closer to the "card" for the PGA Tour that will be awarded to the top ten not otherwise exempt.

Laporta, who shot a 68 (-4) with five birdies and a bogey, is 84th in the ranking and still has a chance (the next Genesis Championship, October 24-27, South Korea) as does Andrea Pavan (72nd), who exited at the cut, to enter the 70 admitted to the first of the two rich PlayOffs competitions (Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, November 7-10) that will conclude the season. Lorenzo Scalise, 71st with 143 (-1), Renato Paratore, 88th with 144 (par), the aforementioned Pavan, 96th with 145 (+1), Edoardo Molinari, 116th with 149 (+5), and Filippo Celli, 121st with 152 (+8) have exited after 36 holes.
