The AEWWrestleDream pay-per-viewwas held on October 12th at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington and it was truly a memorable show from start to finish. However, the post-show media scrum was different from usual as it ended very abruptly and now further details about this change have been revealed.

As memorable as the show was, fans were in for a surprise when they saw that post-AEW WrestleDream media scrum was a little over 20 minutes long, which was a far cry from previous post-show media scrums, which were easily over an hour in length. AEW President Tony Khan was also not present at the event and the reason cited was so that Khan could go to the hospital with Bryan Danielson following Jon Moxleys AEW World Title win and The Blackpool Combat Clubs brutal assault.

While speaking during Fightful Selects Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about the bizarre situation surrounding the media scrum and why it was so short. Sean Ross Sapp noted that earlier in the week, it was confirmed that Khan wouldnt participate, but the reason for this change in plans wasnt clear. It seemed to be a growing pains moment for the organization as they experimented with something new, and there had been discussions internally about wanting to shorten the length of these scrums for some time.

While some fans might miss the lengthy post-show media scrums, most shows are likely glad about this change considering the fact that they already watched the pay-per-view before the media scrum, which is usually more than three hours long. Nonetheless, well have to see how AEW will finalize this change for media scrums as we head towards Full Gaer in November.
