The Maverick Center in West Valley City, Utah has a maximum capacity of 12,000. However, AEW Dynamite was set up for 2,849 tickets and they managed to sell 2,540 as perWrestleTix. A less-than-favorable image of the show has now surfaced, showing a significant number of empty seats during a segment featuring Adam Page.
Some critics suggest that AEWs choice to book oversized venues has led to unflattering visuals, particularly with empty seats, which raises concerns about ticket sales. Despite these challenges, there is hope that AEW can rebound and regain its earlier momentum and success.
However, there is growing apprehension that AEWs current attendance figures might mirror the decline experienced by WCW in 2000, prompting worries about the companys future direction. Only time will tell if AEW can effectively address these issues, as fans feel such empty arenas only harm the image of the company.
