Novak Djokovic will not seek his eighth Paris Masters title this week. Djokovic's (un) realistic ATP Finals chances
The Serb stands sixth in the ATP Race to Turin ahead of Paris, keeping Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev, Alex de Minaur, Grigor Dimitrov and Tommy Paul behind. Despite withdrawing from Paris, Novak can still qualify for the ATP Finals, although it seems he does not think about competing in Turin at the moment, enjoying his holidays instead.

Djokovic could not repeat what he achieved in 2023, winning one ATP title this year, the most desired one. The veteran is 37-9 this year, standing in the top-4 but losing 2500 ATP points in Paris in Turin, jeopardizing his top-10 streak. Djokovic underwent surgery and recovered in time for Wimbledon and the Olympic Games. The legend reached another final at the All England Club, battling against Carlos Alcaraz for the second straight year and falling in straight sets. Novak fixed that at his most desired event of the season, entering the Olympic Games in Paris with a desire to claim the elusive gold medal. The veteran defeated six rivals in straight sets, surviving all the challenges and toppling Alcaraz 7-6, 7-6 in the final after a thriller, adding the 15th notable trophy to his collection and completing the game of tennis. Djokovic did not find the motivation at the US Open, changing his schedule following an Olympic triumph and slowing down the engines. Novak competed in Shanghai and reached another final, losing to Jannik Sinner 7-6, 6-3 and finishing runner-up. The Serb traveled to Riyadh and embraced the Six Kings Slam, falling in the semi-final to Sinner and withdrawing from the Paris Masters.
