Jeff Hardy made his return to TNA earlier this yearand he has reminded people why he is one of the most beloved wrestlers in the history of the business. He began his career at a very young age and has now revealed why he was banned from doing sports during his senior year in high school.
Jeff Hardy is widely considered one of the most skilled wrestlers of his generation. Known for his charisma and daring, high-risk moves, hes built a huge fan base over the years. While injuries and personal struggles have limited his ring time lately, Hardy has still managed to keep his wrestling career going.
While speaking to 105.1 The Bounce Detroit, Jeff Hardy explains why he couldnt play sports during his senior year of high school. He wanted everyone to watch him on live TV, where he would get beaten up in wrestling. The athletic director at his school asked if he was making money from wrestling. Hardy said they got paid a little, but a big fee was taken out, so he only ended up with about $50 after each match.
The athletic director told him that because he was making money, he couldnt play school sports. He compared it to someone in the NFL trying to play high school football, saying it was very different. Due to this, Hardy did enhancement matches but didnt play any sports that year as he was banned. In the end, he was happy because pro wrestling worked out well for him.
As for Jeff Hardy now, he and his brother Matt Hardy won the TNA Tag Team Championships at the TNA Bound for Glory pay-per-view, so its safe to say his current run in TNA has been going well so far.
