It is the fifth and final event branded Aramco where the individual competition will be competed over a distance of 54 holes and the team competition (team of three proettes and an amateur) over the first 36. The total prize money is one million dollars, 500,000 for each tournament.

Aramco also sponsors another event, the Aramco Saudi Ladies International, which took place earlier this season with a prize pool of five million dollars and was won by Patty Tavatanakit of Thailand, who will be present at the event along with other top pros who play on the LPGA Tour, including the English Charley Hull (No. 7 on the LET order of merit) and Georgia Hall and the Spaniard Carlota Ciganda.

In a quality field there are seven other top ten players who, of course, will be among the favorites together with the aforementioned: Chiara Tamburlini, number 1, three titles this year, just named Rookie The Year and the first Swiss to obtain the recognition, the Belgian Manon De Roey (no. 2), the French Pauline Roussin-Bouchard (no. 3), the English Bronte Law (no. 4) and Alice Hewson (no. 6), the Singaporean Shannon Tan (no. 5) and the Australian Kirsten Rudgeley (no. 10).
