Jon Rahm is a golfer who has called on LIV Golf officials to add links events to their calendar, hoping that LIV golfers can adequately prepare for The Open. His views are shared by the talented Australian golfer, Cameron Smith, who also wants to see links events included. Leading up to this year's Open, LIV golfers had the chance to participate in the Valderrama event, which did not offer conditions similar to those at Royal Troon.

Cameron Smith expressed some surprise at this, stressing that in just two weeks, he faced two very different tournaments with unpredictable weather conditions. The Australian aimed to adapt to the conditions, but it wasnt easy. He once again urged LIV Golf officials to seriously consider this idea to help their golfers improve.
Jon Rahm reacts
Spanish golfer Jon Rahm shared a similar view in July of this year.
Rahm expressed that he believes its important for players to get accustomed to the special challenges of links golf, such as adapting to the greens and how the ball behaves on the ground. 30-year-old stressed that he only realized after playing at Troon just how valuable it is to play a links course the week before The Open.
Rahm acknowledged that LIV management has existing contracts with certain venues and plans, making it complicated to simply implement new events. However, he expressed a desire to discuss this idea with other players, believing that if several strong players support the proposal, it could carry more weight and encourage management to consider it.

It is not known how open LIV Golf executives are to such changes, and whether they will withdraw changes that can make their golfers' jobs easier at the Majors.
Given that it is to their advantage that their golfers dominate, have the main say in the main competitions, and at the same time represent LIV Golf, the leaders of the Saudi-backed Tour will certainly sit down and see what they can do on that field.

Cameron Smith, performing at the Majors this year, left the impression that he could have done more. The Masters was great for him, as he finished 56th. Entering the PGA Championship, he had to settle for T63, while the Australian finished T23 at the US Open. Knowing the young golfer, we know that he has the potential to do much more. His focus is already on the next year, and the fact that he will try to correct things and make a better result.
Many of the LIV Golfers did not really leave a great impression, but many of them did not even have a chance to perform. It will be interesting to see if the eventual adjustments regarding link events and schedule will help LIV Golfers to be better this time.
