A 30-year-old pro wrestling star, AJ Gray, has announced that he may need to donate a kidney to his mother because her only kidney is failing. He shared this heartbreaking news on social media and this decision may force him to retire from pro wrestling.
Gray has done well in independent wrestling and has been in the sport for almost ten years. He took to his Instagram story and stated that if his mother needs a kidney transplant, he is willing to donate his.
In his post, Gray talked about how hard it is to deal with his mothers health issues and that he is unsure how to handle the situation. He also mentioned that he doesnt want to risk getting any blood-borne viruses or diseases if he donates his kidney, which could lead him to leave professional wrestling altogether.
AJ Gray is already an experienced wrestler at his age as he has competed for 77 promotions, including popular ones like GCW, Black Label Pro, Beyond Wrestling, and ROH. He previously called attention to AEWs lack of diversity back in 2020 but things have changed since then. Nonetheless, we wish him the best during this difficult period in his life and hope his mother pulls through, even if it means the end of his pro wrestling career.
