The world of professional wrestling today is quite different from the past. Gone are the days of wrestlers who were just overly muscular; now, more fit and diverse athletes are the norm.
With that said, there is still a lot of body shaming prevalent in the world of professional wrestling. While speaking on theFlagrant podcast, Cody Rhodes admitted that he doesnt mind body shaming in wrestling because it is a vanity business. He believes that having a good physique is important since wrestlers perform without shirts. He pointed out that fans pay a lot to watch them, so its normal for them to expect wrestlers to be fit. Rhodes thinks it is okay for fans to judge wrestlers based on their appearance.
Someone like Adam Cole, who has been on the receiving end of a lot of body shaming lately, might not agree with what Cody Rhodes had to say. Nevertheless, Rhodes has made his stance on body shaming clear and he has no regrets about what he said.
