But that's not all.

The most interesting news concerns how the PING Junior Golf Tour will be structured.

The program is dedicated to girls and boys aged 6 to 21.

The youngest (6-12 years) will take to the field in the Rookies Tour, with competitions played over nine holes, starting from the forward tees and playing without a handicap.

The older ones (13-21 years) will compete in the Masters Tour, an Order of Merit powered by 18-hole competitions for those registered with the World Handicap System.

The Grand Final will be played on the fairways of Thonock Park.

Matt Clark, European Marketing Manager of PING Europe, said:

We are delighted to launch the PING Junior Golf Tour in 2025 and further expand our support for junior golf in the UK

Regardless of age and ability, we want everyone to come to our events, have fun and play to the best of their ability.

The Rules are a set of rules and standard procedures by which the sport should be played. They are jointly written and administered by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, the governing body of golf throughout the world, except in the United States and Mexico, which are governed by the United States Golf Association. An expert committee, made up of members of the R&A and the USGA, oversees and refines the Rules every four years. The latest revision was effective January 1, 2016. Changes to the Rules generally fall into two main categories: those that improve understanding of the Rules and those that reduce penalties in certain cases to ensure balance. The rulebookis published on a regular basis and also includes rules governing amateur status. In Italy, the Federis responsible for supervising competitions by enforcing the rules issued by the R & A, checking that these rules are observed by the Clubs, Associations and their members and managing the resulting sporting justice, protecting their interests abroad.

The rules are relatively complicated compared to other sports because they are played outdoors, close to nature and animals. Respecting the rules is a basic element in the game, which, almost always based on self-control and the free conscience of the players, often sees distorted results, sometimes consciously, but often unconsciously or through carelessness, due to the non-observance by many players of the rules of the game. In addition to the rules, golf adheres to a code of conduct, known as etiquette, which generally means playing the game with due respect for the course and other players. Etiquette is an essential component of this sport.
