The Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia saw the 2024 Crown Jewel event take place. The night included some serious matches, but Kevin Owens and Randy Orton went to war in a singles match without any title on the line.
Kevin Owens made it clear that he doesnt want to fight Randy Orton at Crown Jewel, even though it was Owens who first attacked The Viper. In the end, The Apex Predator got that match, and it went down as he wanted it to in Saudi Arabia.
Owens was making his 80th WWE premium live event appearance at Crown Jewel 2024, and he did so in a Cowboy Bob Orton t-shirt on. He didnt receive a very warm reception in Saudi Arabia, but Randy Orton was incredibly over as the crowd sang his song in huge fashion. Orton took his time on the entrance ramp as he listened to Saudi Arabia break 106 dBs with their sing-along. In the end, they almost played his whole song, but Owens attacked Orton with a chair as he was posing on the turnbuckle.
Even though Owens had control at the beginning, Orton got control again. Then he hit Orton with another chair shot, and the referee took the chair, but he ate a stunner. The match hadnt started yet. Then the match was waved off, but the two kept fighting.
Orton dropped Owens on the Arabic announce table, and then he moved Owens back into the ring. Randy Orton went to hit Owens with a chair, but WWE official Shawn Daivari took the chair, and then Orton threw him into the ring post. Orton nailed a draping DDT on Owens, and then Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis came down to stop it.
Orton hit Adam Pearce with an RKO, and then Orton dragged him out of the ring to continue the brawl. Nick Aldis was there to talk some sense into Owens, but he wasnt hearing any of it. They started brawling through the crowd after that.
Owens smashed Orton with the top of a road case and he put Randy on a table. Then Owens climbed up to an elevated stands section and he nailed an elbow drop through the table. Fans popped with Holy Sh*t chants, and This is Awesome.
As WWE officials started cleaning up the scene, they faded to black. Owens and Orton didnt have a match, but they still went to war in Saudi Arabia.
