Last week, Baron Corbin joined the list of recent WWE departures, as the company opted not to renew his contract. Alongside him, superstars Indi Hartwell and Tegan Nox were also released.

Corbin, who had been with WWE for ten years, shared his thoughts on the decision over the weekend. In response to a fan on Instagram who suggested WWE fumbled his career, Corbin agreed. This reaction comes after a decade-long tenure where he saw multiple character reinventions and consistent bookings under Vince McMahons leadership.

After making a name for himself on NXT, Corbin transitioned to WWEs main roster in 2016, where he experienced success and became a regular fixture. In 2023, he returned to NXT, trying out new personas, including a brief, one-week revival of his popular Lone Wolf character. He was called back up to the main roster earlier this year, though his appearances were limited.

Interestingly, Corbin was involved in a WWE Netflix commercial and video shoot on October 27, just days before his release. Fightful Select reported that he was joined by stars like IYO SKY, Kairi Sane, Motor City Machine Guns, Elektra Lopez, and LWO members for the project. This unexpected timing has led some to speculate that WWE may not have planned his release far in advance.
