Anthony Davis suffered a fairly innocuous injury in the Lakers loss to the Pistons on Monday night, but he has since explained it is a lingering injury hes been dealing with.
Late in the game, he aggravated his ankle / foot multiple times and could be seen hobbling up and down the court before he dropped to the floor in pain.
Here are the 2 plays Anthony Davis messed his ankle up.

He was still able to post 37 points, nine rebounds and four assists.
Davis didnt seem very happy after the loss and it was hard to tell if it was because he lost to the Pistons, or knew his ankle was about to send him to the sidelines for a stint or a combination of both.
In the locker room, a reporter tried to ask LeBron what it would it would potentially mean for the team if AD was to be out injured.
The big man himself can be heard in the background saying Im not out.
In his own postgame interview with reporters, Davis explained that it has been a niggle hes been dealing with since the summer and landed right on the spot that has been killing him.
Some clarity apparently its a foot issue and not an ankle issue. AD would later say that hes not out when I tried to ask LeBron a question about what a potential AD absence would mean. https://t.co/hk6pf19dZ5

After the game, head coach JJ Redick said he thinks AD was able to play through an ankle thing.
Hopefully, the injury wont keep Davis out for long, as he has been in blistering form to start the season.
Hes averaging 31.8 points, 12 rebounds, 2.8 assists on 57.3 percent shooting from the field across his first five games of the the 2024-25 NBA season.
