Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley are known as The Terror Twins and they had utterly dominated Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio during their match at Bash in Berlin. While they arent necessarily teaming up at the moment, Priest has now advocated for WWE to bring back the mixed Match Challenge with new titles.
Back in 2018, WWE introduced the Mixed Match Challenge concept, which ran for two seasons. It featured male and female WWE Superstars working together in a tournament and the winner would receive $100,000 to donate to the charities of their choice. The Miz and Asuka won the first season while R-Truth and Carmella were victorious in the second season.
While speaking on the Wrestling Classic podcast, the interview suggested that it would be exciting to see Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley win the WWE Tag Team Titles, mentioning how Chyna winning the Intercontinental Championship opened up new possibilities. Priest replied that if WWE allows it, teaming up with Rhea for the World Tag Team Titles could definitely happen. He believes they could beat anyone in WWE and feels confident facing anyone.
Priest recalled how easily they defeated Dominik and others, saying that while it might not be easy to take on the Tag Team Champions, he was sure they could handle it. Priest added that its up to Adam Pearce and WWEs management to decide the matches since they just come to perform and win.
Priest confirmed that winning titles together would be very special for both of them. He mentioned that they had talked about this and suggested that WWE should bring back the Mixed Match Challenge and create a title for it.
While Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley have gone their separate ways for the time being, there is no doubt that fans would love to see WWE bring back the Mixed Match Challenge so that they could become Mixed Tag Team Champions. Only time will tell whether WWE will ever bring back the tournament and introduce new titles for it.
