The towering Omos, WWEs tallest superstar, recently appeared on The Undertakers Six Feet Under podcast to share his journey, from immigrating to the United States as a teenager to finding his way in pro wrestling.
Reflecting on the invaluable guidance he received early in his WWE career, Omos spoke warmly about the support he got from legends like Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, with Hall going the extra mile to mentor him.
Omos revealed that Hall, known for his larger-than-life persona as Razor Ramon, took a special interest in him right from the start. He came down to the PC one day. He saw me and said, Who the hell is that big guy? like, I wish I could wrestle him, Omos recalled.
Impressed by Omos size and presence, Hall jumped at the chance to be part of his first match. I told him, I have a match. He said, Where? Ill come. He drove up to the show and produced my first ever match.
That support didnt stop after the match. Omos shared a touching memory of Halls continued encouragement. He would call me and say, Hey big fella. How are you doing? Keep doing what youre doing. I love you man, and click, before I could get a word in. Click. Hes gone.
For Omos, Halls mentorship was invaluable, leaving a lasting impression on the Nigerian-born wrestler. Omos continues to pay tribute to his mentors as he rises in WWE, carrying forward the lessons and advice they gave him.
