The name Parade of Champions holds a special place in wrestling history, having been previously used by World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) and the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) in the 1980s. This nod to the past could signal AEWs intent to celebrate wrestlings rich history while bringing a fresh approach to the concept.
