Former Raptors player Lou Williams has spoken about Drakes diss of former Toronto fan favorite DeMar DeRozan, and he doesnt like it one bit.

Drake was at the Raptors v Kings game, which celebrated Vince Carters jersey retirement and was interviewed on the broadcast. He proceeded to tell all the fans at home and the commentators conducting the interview that if DeRozan was to ever have a jersey retired in Toronto, he would go up there and pull it down himself.

Williams, who played for the Raptors in 2014-2015 with DeMar, was less than impressed by Drakes comments and behavior.

If Im gonna speak candidly, I thought that was selfish of Drake, Williams said on FanDuel TVs Run it Back. Drake as well as the country of Canada, the city of Toronto, they know what DeMar DeRozan has contributed to the culture up there, and what hes contributed to the Toronto Raptors, and to that community, Williams continued. It goes way bigger than his personal relationship with Drake, it goes way bigger than his personal relationship with Kendrick Lamar. So for Drake to say if you put up a banner and Ill personally pull it down, its like, is it just about you, or is it about the Toronto Raptors?

Drake was named the global ambassador for the Raptors organization in 2013 and is one of their most passionate fans, but Williams says he clearly wasnt thinking about the organization when he made those comments.

Drake knows what DeMar DeRozan means to that city. So for him to say that, I thought it was kind of silly, Williams said. But all is fair in a rap beef, you know. When you get into the rap world and you guys pick a side and somebody feels a way, its OK for them to say that. As long as nobody gets hurt, nobody crosses the line here. Its all good. Its all good banter.
