The internet fooled many ahead of election day, after a fake viral post did the rounds saying that NBA legend Michael Jordan is in support of Donald Trump.
The message claimed that the former player had become the latest to endorse Donald Trump for president. It was accompanied by a picture of MJ in his younger days, but that was all the detailed provided.

The post has gotten millions of shares and likes and has forced Jordans rep to make a statement regarding its validity.
There is absolutely no truth to the claim that Michael Jordan has made an endorsement in the presidential election, they told The Independant.
MJ is notoriously private about his political views and his personal life.
But that hasnt stopped him from becoming accidentally involved.
Back in 1990, Jordan decided against publicly endorsing a Democrat Harvey Gantt during a North Carolina Senate election.
Some thought Jordan who grew up in North Carolina, should endorse Gantt.
But instead, Jordan famously said, Republicans buy sneakers, too.
Years later in 2020, MJ stood by what he said on The Last Dance docuseries.
I dont think that statement needs to be corrected because I said it in jest on a bus with Horace Grant and Scottie Pippen.
He added,It was thrown off the cuff. My mother asked to do a PSA for Harvey Gantt, and I said, Look, Mom, Im not speaking out of pocket about someone that I dont know. But I will send a contribution to support him. Which is what I did, he went on.
I do commend Muhammad Ali for standing up for what he believed in. But I never thought of myself as an activist. I thought of myself as a basketball player. I wasnt a politician when I was playing my sport.
I was focused on my craft. Was that selfish? Probably. But that was my energy. Thats where my energy was.
As for NBAs other GOAT, LeBron James, he recently endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president.
What are we even talking about here??, he wrote on X. When I think about my kids and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!!
