Benoit Paire, French tennis player former ATP No.18 and sunk below the 300th position in the ATP ranking, has played a decidedly anonymous season, to put it mildly. A season that has led the Frenchman to share words that have annoyed his fans. What is certain is that the moment is not easy for him, who at 35 has even thought at times of saying goodbye to tennis.

That moment hasn't arrived yet, however: Paire wants to give up and will try to get back up next season, making this promise to his fans through a long Instagram post, in which he recounted all the difficulties he has encountered in 2024.
"This 2024 season has been the most difficult of my entire career, so many injuries, doubts about my physique and my mental ability to continue without being 100% every day, I asked myself many questions, but this Asian tour has given me many answers. It will take time to come back, but I will do it. When I am physically well, I am still capable of doing great things and even if I have not had very good results, I feel that in 3 weeks I have made a lot of progress and I have started to enjoy myself again, to train and to commit myself on the pitch, so it will take time to come back, but I will do it," he wrote.

His thoughts are also turned to all the fans who supported him, but also to those who reserved harsh criticism for him: "Thanks to all the people who support me and who accompany me in these difficult moments, but for you and for me I will make it! PS: I'm sorry for all those who are angry and jealous who will continue to send me insulting messages and death threats for a year."
