The Street Profits, the team ofMontez Ford andAngelo Dawkins, worked hardto become one of the mainstays of WWEs tag team division. With that said, Ford has been venting frustrations regarding his booking in WWE and he has now been urged to make his own break.
Monez Ford also previously stated thathe wants to become WWE Champion if The Street Profits break up. The Rock alsogave Montez very encouraging messagein the past that helped his confidence in a big way.
In fact, Montez Ford recently hinted at pursuing a solo career while he expressed frustration over The Street Profits current booking in the company.
While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T shared his view that Triple H still has high hopes for Montez Ford. Booker believes that Ford might need to leave behind certain elements of his current gimmick and figure out when to transition from his tag team to pursue a singles career and find his own break.
Reflecting on his own experience, Booker mentioned his nine-year tag team run with his brother, during which he focused on making the team the best it could be before eventually breaking out on his own. He feels Ford is in a strong position to go solo when the time is right and still has plenty of potential left in his career if handled correctly.
We will have to wait and see whether Montez Ford will eventually break away from his current position and pursue a singles run in WWE, as many fans feel its long overdue at this point in time.
