NXT took over the 2300 Arena for their November 6 episode of the show. This ECW Arena show was special, and that encouraged them to book some big names from the land of extreme on the card. That also called for a surprise or two.
During NXT this week, The Family was seen in Philly, and they had a run-in with Tony Mamaluke and Nunzio from ECW. The two ECW alum were not happy about how The Family dissed them.
Nunzio told Rizzo that he set up a match with her against Nikkita Lyons next week. That wasnt all. In fact, Nunzio also got himself on the card.
Nunzio revealed that he booked himself in an NXT North American Title match against Tony DAngelo this week in the 2300 Arena. Tony D didnt seem too upset by this booking.
The segment was short, but sweet. It certainly sent a message that The Family needed to check in and pay homage to their Philly family, and this was the price that they needed to pay.
Only time will tell how deep this Sopranos like connection will go, but it was certainly a welcomed addition to NXT this week.
