WWE took NXT to the old ECW Arena in Philly this week, and there was no shortage of surprises. RVD was on hand, as was Dawn Marie. Rhino couldnt miss the show, even though he hasnt advertised.
Ava took the ring to make the announcement that NXT Deadline is coming back. The Iron Survivor Challenge match is also coming back. That was not the end of the segment by a long shot.
Mr. Stone then grabbed the microphone and told Ava not to lie to Philly fans. He said that New York fans are actually the best pro wrestling fans, and that god a ton of boos from the crowd.
Suddenly, the lights went down, just like they used to in ECW. Stone quipped about the 2300 Arena not paying the light bill, but then the lights came back up just in time for Rhino to be seen before hitting a massive gore.
Rhino was recently inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame. This was quite a surprise for fans in Philly as he took out Robert Stone. It was also a welcomed moment for those fans as well.
We will have to see if Rhino gets into any action for NXT, but he is still able to get his singlet on and throw down a gore when needed. He certainly had what it took during NXT this week.
