Karl Anderson recently shared an update that has wrestling fans rallying behind him. On November 4, Anderson posted a photo of his arm in a brace with a message indicating that hell be out of action until after WrestleMania. The WWE star later detailed the extent of his injuries on Talk N Shop, revealing that he underwent surgery for a torn rotator cuff tendon and a partially torn labrum, with an expected recovery timeline of six to nine months.
Anderson shared how the injury unfolded, explaining that it initially seemed like a minor issue. It happened two months ago, I felt something in a match, and didnt think anything of it because thats what we do. The next week, something else happened in a match again. That hurt a little worse, but still thought nothing of it because thats how weve always rolled, Anderson said. The pain gradually worsened, impacting his ability to sleep. I wasnt able to sleep at night because it was aching and throbbing. Let me tell somebody.'
When he informed WWEs medical team, they took swift action. I talked to the WWE doctors who handled it right away and they immediately scheduled me for an anthrogram. They immediately saw it was a torn rotator cuff tendon and a partially torn labrum, Anderson explained.
While he considered working through the torn labrum, the rotator cuff injury ultimately required surgery. He noted that hell be in a brace for at least six weeks during the recovery process.
Ringside News extends well wishes to Karl Anderson for a successful recovery and looks forward to seeing him return to the ring stronger than ever.
