Goldberg has faced many top stars during his time in the world of professional wrestling and that also includes none other than Brock Lesnar. Interestingly enough, Goldberg has now addressed Brock Lesnars attempt at entering the world of football.
After 12 years away from the ring, Goldberg returned at WWE Survivor Series 2016 to face off against Brock Lesnar. Prior to that, Goldbergs last match was against Lesnarat WrestleMania 20, which was hated by many fans as they knew Lesnar and Goldberg were both leaving WWE at the time.
Following his WWE departure in 2004, Lesnar embarked on a football career in the NFL. He signed with the Minnesota Vikings but was eventually released as football was simply not meant for him at all.
While speaking with Scott Johnson ofNews 4 Jacksonville, Goldberg was asked to comment on Brock Lesnars short career in the NFL. Goldberg showed respect for Brock Lesnars attempt to pursue football after leaving WWE. He acknowledged that Lesnar gave it a real try, despite having no previous experience in the sport. Given Lesnars physical attributes, Goldberg thought it made sense for him to give it a shot, praising his effort and noting how impressive it was that Lesnar attempted to achieve such a goal.
While Goldberg confirmed that he will have a retirement match in 2025, Brock Lesnars wrestling career remains uncertain after his alleged involvement inVince McMahons trafficking lawsuit. Nonetheless, Goldberg truly respects Lesnar for his accomplishments in wrestling and attempt to get into football and thats all that matters to him.
