After his election success, during his speech in Palm Beach, Florida, Donald Trump also called golfer Bryson DeChambeau, two-time winner of the US Open (in 2020 and 2024), on stage. "Where is he, hitting balls?", asked the 47th president of the United States, addressing the Major champion, who 'responded' with a smile.

Last July, Trump was the special guest on the Californian golfer's program, "Break 50". Moreover, DeChambeau is one of the leading men of the LIV Golf, the Arab Super League financed by the sovereign fund of Saudi Arabia, the PIF, whose annual events are often played on the tycoon's courses. And now there is anticipation to understand what role Trump could play in the negotiations (which have now been going on for two years) between the PGA Tour, the top American men's circuit, and the LIV, aimed at creating a global golf circuit.

In 2010, at the age of 16, he won the California State Junior Championship. In June 2015, he became the first Southern Methodist University player to win the NCAA Division I Championship, with a record score of 280 (-8). In August, he achieved another significant victory, in the U.S. Amateur. In the meantime, he had made his debut on the PGA Tour as an amateur in the St. Jude Classic and then participated in his first Major, the U.S. Open. In November, he finished second in the professional tournament of the Australian Masters.

The following season, he reached the twenty-first place at the Masters, after which he turned professional. He started well with a fourth place at the RBC Heritage and a fifteenth at the U.S. Open, however, he failed to obtain a card for the 2017 PGA Tour, but he qualified for the Web.com Tour Finals, where he earned the card thanks to the victory of the DAP Championship. In July 2017, he earned his first title on the PGA Tour, at the John Deere Classic.

2018 was a year full of triumphs. The first came at the Memorial Tournament, where DeChambeau defeated his two opponents in the playoff with a birdie on the second hole. Then, in August, he won The Northern Trust and the following week the Dell Technologies Championship, both valid for the FedEx Cup, where he finished third. He also participated in his first Ryder Cup, where, however, he failed to earn a point and the United States was defeated. In November, he won his fourth, at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, which allowed him to climb to fifth place in the world rankings.

In the 2019 season, he obtained his first title on the European Tour, winning the Omega Dubai Desert Classic by seven shots. He participated in the first Presidents Cup, where the United States prevailed. Starting late this year and during the COVID-19 pandemic, DeChambeau increased his muscle mass, gaining about 40 pounds, consequently becoming the golfer with the longest tee shot. In July 2020, he returned to winning a tournament, the Rocket Mortgage Classic, thanks to a final round seven shots under par. He finished fourth at the PGA Championship, while in September he triumphed in his first Major, the U.S. Open, in which he was the only player to remain under par. He thus returned to occupying fifth position in the ranking, his best result to date.
