WWE knows theres a lot of talent out there that they havent signed yet. It is also apparent that not everyone will make it to the Performance Center. The company keeps an eye on the indie scene, where many wrestlers are making waves on their own. To secure future talent, WWE has launched a program offering first dibs on these wrestlers, with names slowly emerging.
The new WWE ID program provides independent wrestlers a pathway to a potential WWE career. WWE announced WWE ID on October 29 as a development program designed to offer indie wrestlers a possible route into the company.
WWE ID also aims to identify and support promising talent from the indie circuit. This is a part of WWEs scouting that they have lost out on in some respects, thanks to AEW, but now they have a new way of calling dibs on talent.
So far, Bryce Donovan, Cappuccino Jones, and Zayda Steel have been signed and announced to WWE ID. More names are expected, and the list keeps growing. WWEs latest recruit for the program comes from Game Changer Wrestling, a popular indie promotion.
Through WWE IDs official X account, the company revealed that Jack Cartwheel from GCW has joined the program. They also noted that his hometown is Sacramento, California. Hes been at it on the indies scene since 2019.
Jack Cartwheel is a good get for WWEs new ID program. He was ranked 327th in PWI 500s top singles wrestlers in 2024. He has also snagged a few indie titles along the way. WWE sees him as a fit for their system, and it only makes sense that they want to give him a much closer look, although they plan to let him continue his indie work for now.
