Grayson Waller is quickly becoming one of WWEs most exciting superstars, famous for his constant talking and confidence in the ring. He and Austin Theory have teamed up regularly, but Waller recently admitted he didnt think their partnership had any long-term plans.
During theApril 19 episode of WWESmackDown,Grayson Waller and Austin Theory were honored with the new WWE Tag Team Championshipfollowing their victory atWrestleMania 40 for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. They would eventually drop the titles and despite their ups and downs, the team has remained one of SmackDowns highlights.
While speaking toChris Van Vliet, Grayson Waller talked about his tag team with Austin Theory and how they got together. They didnt know each other very well, but they got along right away. They had similar views on the business and worked together on a few things. Waller realized they both wanted to be great and were willing to work hard to make it happen.
As they worked together more and traveled together, they started having the same schedule. They would wake up early to go to the gym and do the things that come with their lifestyle. Waller said their similar mindsets made everything work easily. Waller admitted that he didnt think it was going to be a long-term thing, but it worked so well that it just stuck.
Looking back, Waller couldnt remember exactly how it all started because it happened so quickly. He thinks it started when he got involved in something Theory was doing, probably with Kevin Owens, since Owens liked to stun them both. What began as Waller helping Theory for a week turned into Theory helping him, and before they knew it, they were a team. It all came together fast.
It was also reported by WrestleVotes that WWE has no plans to split up Austin Theory and Grayson Waller anytime soon. Regardless, the dynamic duo continue to be highlights of SmackDowns tag team division and fans wouldnt really have it any other way.
