The WWE Womens United States Championship is already sparking interest among the roster.
Following the announcement on the November 8 edition of SmackDown by General Manager Nick Aldis, which confirmed that the new title would be open to both Raw and SmackDown stars, some of WWEs top talents have begun teasing their intentions to go after the gold.
Michin was quick to stoke speculation, taking to social media on November 12 to share a photoshopped image of herself standing proudly with the new championship. She captioned the post, It just looks right, tagging WWE and adding the hashtag #WWEWomensUSChampionship, leaving no doubt that she has her sights set on making history as the first to hold the belt.
Not to be outdone, Piper Niven joined in with her own teaser. She posted two separate images: one of herself and one featuring just the Womens United States Title, captioned simply, Cant stop thinking about her. The cryptic yet confident post suggests that Niven is just as eager to throw her hat into the ring for a shot at the new championship.
While the WWE Universe is buzzing with speculation, its still unclear when or how the inaugural Womens United States Champion will be crowned. Fans will be keeping a close eye on the upcoming Raw and SmackDown episodes to see if any official matches or qualifying rounds are announced.
In the meantime, WWE is also rumored to be considering the addition of a Womens Intercontinental Championship to its programming. Updates on that potential move are eagerly awaited by fans and stars alike.
