Matt Riddle was fired from WWE last year and in the year since then, he has used the time to rebuild himself in the independent circuit, but he has not forgotten his MMA roots. In fact, he has seemingly admitted that Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley could legitimately beat him up.
Matt Riddle was a star in the UFC during the early to mid-2010s, establishing himself as a legitimate fighter. However, he was eventually fired from the UFC due to his love for marijuana.
While speaking onBarstool Rasslin, Matt Riddle admitted that Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley could probably beat him in a real fight. He said that while some people in WWE might take his comments the wrong way, he cant forget his past in the UFC just because hes in WWE now. Riddle explained that he can handle most people, but Lesnar and Lashley are big and skilled in mixed martial arts.
Riddle also mentioned that if he fought a heavyweight like Lesnar or Lashley, he knows they would likely win because they are strong and experienced in both wrestling and MMA. However, Riddle said theres always a chance in any fight.
Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley are MMA legends in their own rights and they are absolute beasts inside the ring as well as the Octagon. While Riddle is also legitimately tough, its not hard to see why he would admit he would get beat up by them in a real fight.
