These directors are incredibly talented, they were actually amateur wrestlers, so they understand my sport, Angle said.
The first installment promises a Rocky-type of feel, mixed with vibes from The Fighter and The Iron Claw, which focused on the legendary Von Erich wrestling family. Angle described it as the tale of a kid from the streets of Pittsburgh that overcomes adversities, including a broken neck, and ends up winning an Olympic gold medal.
