Tension continues to build on tonights AEW Dynamite as one week from Saturday, the roster heads towards its next pay-per-view, AEW Full Gear.
Mercedes Mon is set to defend her TBS title against former champion Kris Statlander at Full Gear. Renee Paquette looks to get a word with Mon and Kamille about their stunt last week on Dynamite. Mon blames Kamilles lack of driving skills but reassures that her attack at Collision last week was just a taste for Full Gear. Statlander crosses the path of Mon and sends both Kamille and the TBS Champion crashing her own way, this time through a wall.
Penelope Ford looks to add some momentum to her return by taking on AEW original, Britt Baker. Baker immediately sends Ford to the outside to take a breather, but Ford plays smart and pulls a fast one on Baker from the outside.
Baker tries to pull a comeback and catches her with a signature Slingblade. Ford regains the momentum with a Handspring Elbow but falls short as she misses on the Moonsault. Baker goes for the glove, but Ford dropkicks her and attempts to lock in the Muta Lock. Baker reverses and locks in the Lock Jaw for the win.
Post-match, Serena Deeb makes her way to the ring and it looks like these two will cross paths once more.
Mina Shirakawa is in town tonight and is ready to party, but meets the likes of Harley Cameron. The two are alike in many different ways but will test their abilities this Saturday at Collision.
Paquette is backstage one more time to talk to Jamie Hayter after her win against Ford last week. Hayter looks to continue her momentum and right her wrongs but sets her sights on one thing. Suddenly, we see a vignette of Julia Hart and by the looks of it, she has woken up from a long absence.
