Jannik Sinner even better than the Fab 4: is it a balsphemy expressed by the Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev or is it the reality of the facts?

The Russian was eliminated in the group stage of the ATP Finals and ends 2024 without titles, something he hasn't done since 2018. This year he reached a Slam final and an ATP Masters 1000 final, and on many occasions he had to wait for his young Italian rival, a tennis player who has practically become a nightmare for him. In the press conference following the match against the ATP No.1 in Turin, Medvedev seemed quite calm and satisfied in commenting on his season
The Russian explained how of course with zero titles he cannot be satisfied with his year but he will probably finish at number 4 in the men's ranking, unless Fritz wins the tournament and Daniil considers this opportunity difficult. He explained how it is obvious that he would like to be number 1 in the world but he has not played at the level to be ATP No.1 and Jannik is playing much better, he has shown it several times, he said making a bold (and perhaps risky) comparison with the fab 4 Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Andy Murray.
"Sinner is one of the best I have faced in my career, I have faced the Fab 4 when they were older and probably did not play like that. I am proud though to have finished the season at number 4 and I have played many matches. I am looking forward to the next season," explained Medvedev.

Regarding the title-less season, Medvedev explained that he doesn't know what went wrong but that he will definitely try to do something new.
"At the moment what we do is not enough, especially against Alcaraz and Sinner. I'm not sure that I will be able to improve my tennis but I will try. It's obvious that it's not easy when you are 28 years old and you have to build a better version of yourself. It's true that I didn't win titles but I only played 3 500 and then all 1000 and Slams, maybe you could have chosen smaller tournaments and won them but I didn't. I'm satisfied with my season anyway," he added.
