Jannik Sinner insists he is not stressed over the upcoming decision in his doping case since he has already had a couple of positive hearings and expects nothing but to get the verdict in his favor.

In September, the ITIA announced that the world No. 1 twice failed a doping test but that he would not get any ban after the investigation determined that he "bore no fault or negligence" for what happened. But it didn't end there for the 23-year-old after the CAS decided to appeal the ITIA's verdict and seek a suspension of one to two years.

This week, Sinner is playing in front of his home fans in Turin, where he went 3-0 in the ATP Finals group stage and routinely booked a semifinal spot. Following a 6-3 6-4 win over Daniil Medvedev, the home favorite was asked if he was feeling any stress regarding the decision that is expected to come in early 2025.

"No, I have been in this position three times already. Three times we had the hearing. Three times came to my way, which is positive. Of course, it's not a position where I like to be in. But, you know, I'm going to work together with everyone, like I did before, then we see what comes out. I'm very positive of how it's going to be," the reigning Australian Open and US Open champion said.

Sinner thrilled with how he is progressing at the ATP Finals

After becoming a Grand Slam champion and the world No. 1 for the first time in his career this year, the Italian tennis star is now also two wins away from landing his maiden ATP Finals title. So far, he claimed straight-set victories over Medvedev, Alex de Minaur and Taylor Fritz.

"I'm happy with the performance. The first match. As I was saying, these tournaments are very important. Happy how I ended the group stage. Now it's semifinals on Saturday, so I'm happy to be again in the position. Let's see what's coming," Sinner said.

In the semifinal, Sinner will play against Casper Ruud.
