The Street Profits, consisting of Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, worked hard to become a key part of WWEs tag team division. However, Ford has expressed frustration with his booking in WWE, leading some to believe that the company may have hurt his career by holding back on giving him a stronger push.
Monez Ford also previously stated thathe wants to become WWE Champion if The Street Profits break up. The Rock alsogave Montez very encouraging messagein the past that helped his confidence in a big way. In fact, Montez Ford recently hinted at pursuing a solo career while he expressedfrustration over The Street Profits current booking in the company.
While speaking on Sportskeedas Wrestlings SmackTalk show, Dutch Mantel shared his thoughts on Montez Fords situation, saying that WWE unintentionally hurt the 34-year-old fan-favorite star by holding back his push for too long. Mantel believes that instead of fully committing to Fords push, WWE kept hesitating, which he feels is worse than doing nothing at all. He explained that this indecision has worn down Fords momentum, making him less heated up now compared to a year ago.
The Street Profits also failed to win the WWE Tag Team Titles during the November 15WWE SmackDown after Tommaso Ciampa interfered in the match and attacked Montez Ford. Regardless, only time will tell whether WWE will ever push Montez Ford as a singles star, as it might be too late now.
