Its been nearly a year since fans last saw Danhausen on AEW TV, and it looks like they might be waiting a lot longer.

According to Fightful Select, there havent been any serious conversations about the fan-favorites return for quite some time. In fact, the last meaningful communication between AEW and Danhausen occurred over six months ago, mainly for indie date approvalsstandard protocol for talent under AEW contracts.

It was also reveal that Danhausen was originally set to return from injury about a year ago. However, shifting plans led to the painted grappler expressing his frustrations directly to AEW boss Tony Khan. While there were a few pitches tossed around earlier this year, none took off, despite Bryan Danielson being a major advocate for Danhausens comeback.

Additionally, AEW thought Danhausen was more interested in focusing on indie bookings rather than committing to Collision tapings on Saturdays. But the story has another side: Danhausen allegedly explained to AEW that family obligations impacted his availability and that those circumstances could evolve. Regardless, AEW noticed him appearing on indie shows during that time and assumed he was opting out of working Collision.
