Earlier this month, WWE Hall of Famer Goldberghas officially confirmed that he will have a retirement match in 2025. In light of this, he has now addressed potentially facing Ric Flair in his retirement match.
At theBad Blood Premium Live Event, things heated up when WWE World Heavyweight ChampionGUNTHER confronted Goldberg and this made many fans feel that the WWE Hall of Famer would square off against The Ring General in his final match, but nothing was confirmed.
Goldberg appeared on the Cats Corner Podcast with Ernest The Cat Miller. Miller asked Goldberg if he would want to face Ric Flair in Flairs final match. Goldberg spoke highly about Flair, saying he liked him a lot, but he didnt want to face Flair after what happened during his last match, adding that he didnt want Flair to die again.
Ric Flair finally got the chance to retire on his ownterms as The Nature Boy teamed up with his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo and faced Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett on July 31st, 2022. However, Ric Flair suffered a legitimate heart attack during the match, which is why it makes sense Goldberg doesnt want to face Ric Flair for his retirement match. Therefore, well have to see who Goldberg will face in the end.
