WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus, a trailblazer who has done a lot for the business and paved the way for future generations of womens wrestlers, had a confrontation with John Morrison in the past. She has now set the record straight about the incident, providing her side of the story and clearing up any misunderstandings.
At WrestleMania 27, Trish Stratus teamed up with John Morrison and Snooki for a tag team match against LayCool and Dolph Ziggler. After their victory, Stratus tried to raise Morrisons hand in celebration, but he ignored her gesture. The following night on RAW, after another win against Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero, Morrison repeated the same behavior. This moment became known in WWE history as The Cold Shoulder incident, often remembered for Morrisons snub towards Stratus.
While speaking on Inside the Ropes, Trish Stratus opened up about the time John Morrison snubbed her on the RAW after WrestleMania 27. Stratus noted that at the time, her involvement in WrestleMania 27 was aimed at promoting WWEs Tough Enough show.
Trish clarified that she wasnt trying to take anyones spot; WWE selected her for the match to help promote the show, and she was simply doing her job. She stated that Morrisons actions took away from what could have been a fun moment for the fans, especially after their team won a rematch on RAW the following night and made sure to tell Morrison the same. For Trish Stratus, the focus was always on creating memorable moments for the audience, and personal issues shouldnt interfere with that. She also mentioned that she and Morrison are now on good terms.
As for Stratus, she also revealed how WWE rejected one of her pitches for an iconic segment with Triple H. Regardless, Stratus simply had to make sure that people knew her side of the story regarding her incident with John Morrison and thats all that matters to her at the moment.
