Maven, the former Tough Enough winner, has been making waves online, amassing over 500,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel since its launch in July 2023. But as fans buzz about his online success, questions linger: will he ever step back into the ring for a major comeback?
On a recent episode of The False Finish (via AdFreeShows), Maven opened up to Conrad Thompson about his wrestling future. When asked if he still has the itch to wrestle, Maven kept it real: Nah. Well, yeah, okay, I have the itch, but Im also reasonable. Im almost 50 years old. Guys like Ricochet have proven to me that the athleticism of the business has long passed me by.
While he hasnt ruled out a return, hes not eager to risk injury without guaranteed security. Maven explained, I have indie promoters hit me up all the timeWhat they dont realize is thatI already know that the older you get, its so easier to blow an ACL, to tear an Achilles. What happens after that? Theyre not gonna pay for me and my rehab. Hed consider a return only if backed by a stable contract: If I had an organization that made the commitmentthen I would, yeah.
As for whether Maven ever thought Triple H was a fan, his answer was direct: Nope. Absolutely not. Not at all. Maven pointed out that entering WWE through Tough Enough may have been a factor. He respected the way guys toiledMy belief has always been, I didnt invent Tough Enough. I cant name one person that if given that opportunity when they were trying to break in would not have taken it. Him included.
Despite not being on Triple Hs radar as a favorite, Maven noted theyre still on good terms. Hunter and I are cordialEvery time we see each other, we go through the motions, hey brother, hug, hows the familyits great seeing you.
Mavens last in-ring appearance was in March 2024 at Reality Of Wrestlings Last Stand Rumble.
