The New Days Xavier Woods is speaking out and putting fans worries to rest as rumors swirl about a possible breakup within WWEs iconic tag team.
With a decade of dominance under their belts, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E have cemented themselves as one of the greatest groups in WWE history. But lately, it seems not everything has been smooth sailing, especially between Woods and Kingston.
As The New Day prepares to mark their 10-year anniversary on a special episode of Monday Night Raw, Woods spoke with TV Insider about the tension brewing between him and Kingston after a string of tough losses. The WWE Universe has noticed, and the chatter about a split has been loud.
Sometimes brothers fight. Family fights. Its just crazy that it has taken this long to start having a disagreement, Woods shared.
He added, Normally, with your friends, there are things that would come up. We had so much time with no real tension. It has been very interesting. Obviously, when you see it on TV, you think everything is imploding.
Woods wanted fans to know this isnt your typical wrestling storyline where someone gets jealous or things escalate into a full-blown feud. He emphasized, Thats what youre used to seeing in wrestling. Its not how life is. I could argue with my brother. He can disagree with me, and we can talk about it.
The powerhouse of positivity explained that their strong bond goes beyond what fans see on screen. Were mature adults living in 2024. If I cant text him or call him and have a genuine conversation about a disagreement, then how strong is our friendship in the first place? Woods stated.
He continued, It has always been in wrestling where someone gets jealous or someone accidentally hits someone and were fighting. The next thing you know Im making someone bleed in the streets. If that happened, were we really genuine friends? What youre seeing now is just a maturation of our brotherhood.
WWE hasnt revealed the date for The New Days big anniversary celebration yet, but fans are hopeful that any on-screen drama wont overshadow the legacy this legendary trio has built.
