You never know what will happen in the pro wrestling world, especially when injuries are a part of the story. El Hijo Del Vikingo is injured, and hes having to pull out of dates. That being said, he wont be on the shelf for long.

Tony Khan has a lot of possibilities with someone who has the talent that El Hijo Del Vikingo has. He must wait for the luchador to return from injury first, and in the meantime he is clearing his schedule because he is unable to compete.

Progress tweeted out to let everyone know that, although El Hijo Del Vikingo is cancelling their upcoming event, they are making attempts to get him booked for a later card. The good news is that they are possibly getting him back before the end of the year.

The fact that Progress said that they hope to get him back by the end of the year is a good sign. Hopefully, that means Vikingo will be back on AEW television soon enough.

On February 17, 2024, Vikingo teamed with Psycho Clown and Wotan at AULL Rencor Extremo. They lost to Negocio Traumado after Vikingo injured his right knee, forcing the match to stop.

Vikingo underwent surgery and was cleared to return to the ring in September. He has wrestled in AEW several times in recent years, including a standout match against Kenny Omega. We will have to see what he is able to do next, but this is certainly not the end of his story.
