James Harden has moved to second on the all-time three-pointers list after surpassing Ray Allen, but hes not under any illusions about catching Steph Curry in first place.

35-year-old Harden (2,975) trails 36-year-old Curry (3,782) by 807 threes entering Mondays matchup.

The Beard gave Curry his flowers after breaking Allens record against the Jazz, calling him the greatest shooter weve ever seen.

Its pretty unlikely that Harden will surpass Steph. And he knows it.

When asked about his place on the all-time three-point shooting list, he responded with,Im going to consider myself number one. Steph dont count.

He went on to say, Im one of the most confident guys that we have in this league, man. But I probably wont catch Steph, and I dont think anybody will, honestly.

In terms of anyone ever catching Steph, Harden thinks it would have to be in another lifetime after hes long gone.

And granted, a lot of these guys are on that list for [being] catch-and-shoot players, so they came off pindowns, they were spot shots or whatnot. Now, where the game has evolved, guys like Steph are coming off pindowns, hes creating off isos, hes coming off pick-and-rolls. So theres so many different variables to be able to shoot the 3, make shots and do it at an efficient high level.

So, somebody has to have an unbelievable career, shoot the ball well and make a lot of 3s. I mean, if it happens, its going to be when were not here anymore. So thatll be in there for a minute.

No doubt both Harden and Steph will end of up in the Basketball Hall of Fame for all their achievements throughout their careers.

But a few more battles between the two will come first.
